The aim of this course is:

To provide an introduction to mentoring and befriending which takes place on-line and explore the practices and implementation of a quality ‘e-mentoring’ or ‘e-befriending’ programme.

This course will help you to:

• Explain what is meant by ‘on-line’ mentoring and befriending
• Define the key differences between ‘on-line’ and face to face mentoring and befriending and where it can be used successfully
• Identify a delivery model that is appropriate for the needs of your service users and volunteers
• Recognise key considerations and critical success factors in creating an effective and safe programme
• Develop an action plan to take your plans forward
