The aim of this course is:

To provide you with the opportunity to explore additional and complementery tools, techniques and models to further enhance your skills and knowledge of training for volunteer mentors and befrienders. This course follows on from ‘Training volunteer mentors or befrienders: Part A’ (20% discount if both courses are booked together). It has been developed to meet the requirements of element 8 of our Approved Provider Standard and will support your journey to getting accredited.

This course follows on from “Training your volunteers: Part A” and is part of the “Developing people and projects” series of training courses.

This course will help you to:

• Explore how tools and techniques drawn from a range of disciplines such as psychology and coaching can be applied
effectively within mentoring and befriending training
• Understand different learning styles by completing the Honey and Mumford’s learning styles questionnaire
• Create your own ‘tool box’ for mentoring or befriending training
• Create and manage a safe and effective learning environment

You will receive the UPDATED Training volunteer mentors or befrienders toolkit for free (worth £45.00) which is packed with over 20 hours of interactive learning activities. You will also receive additional comprehensive course notes and handouts.
