Are you a mentoring or befriending co-ordinator or manager? Find out how the Approved Provider Standard (APS) can help you ensure safe,
effective and competent practice.
APS is the only nationally recognised quality standard that is specifically designed for mentoring and befriending. It’s relevant to all models and is applicable across all sectors. There are over 500 approved providers and a further 300 that are working towards achieving the standard. Approved providers are listed on our online project directory and have the standard’s logo next to their name. Accreditation lasts for three years and is revisited annually to ensure any major changes in size and operation methods are addressed.
In order to raise your awareness of the quality standard, we’re holding a free half day briefing.
So what will be covered?
- The benefits of a mentoring and befriending quality standard for practitioners, funders and commissioners
- The key elements of the standard and how it relates to the needs of practitioners, funders and commissioners
- The application process and what support we’ll provide to help projects applying for accreditation
- The opportunity to hear from a practitioner who has successfully gone through the accreditation process
- The opportunity to network
The briefings are free but you do need to book in order to guarantee a place.
We offer APS information briefing events across England, to find out other dates please take a look at our briefing events listing.
