APS re-accreditation

Re-invest in your commitment to quality

In recognition of your previous commitment to achieving the Approved Provider Standard (APS), MBF are offering an incentive to all projects that have been previously accredited or are about to lapse to renew their APS accreditation and get their scheme externally assessed and verified.

Projects that meet the requirements of APS are accredited for three years. Many projects recognise the benefits of the standard and want to re-accredit their project again.

To avoid a gap in your accredited status we would recommend you re-apply approximately two to three months before your expiry date to ensure continuation of your accreditation. You will be re-applying as though a new applicant however, it is anticipated that the time-frame of self assessment, action planning and assessment may be quicker than it would normally be for first time applicants.

APS is good value

  • It works out at 50 pence a day for three years based on £550 (Price Band A). There are no hidden extras either: no VAT or expenses added on
  • Save time and create efficient ways of working - APS gives projects a step-by-step guide which helps them to implement their mentoring or befriending project
  • Can projects afford not to sign up? Increasing numbers of funders and commissioners are looking to projects which are working towards or have achieved the standard – or even including it as a requirement

APS multi-site accreditation

Has your project expanded? Is your project delivered over multiple sites, or do you run a number of different mentoring or befriending projects that operate under the same policies and procedures? It may be cost effective to apply for a multi-site application.

How do I find out more?

You can find out more by attending one of our free half-day briefing events which take place across England and Wales.  Or you can download our APS leaflet for more information or watch our APS DVD – Talking quality standards!
