Action planning

This section covers the self-assessment and action planning phase of achieving APS.

Once you’ve signed up to work towards achieving accreditation you will need to review your current practice against the APS requirements by completing the self-assessment diagnostic tool. This will help you to identify what evidence you’ve currently got in place and what further action is required to satisfy the APS criteria.

The diagnostic process is not complete until you’ve drawn up an improvement APS action plan has been drawn up. This will help you to identify the actions that you need to complete before you’re ready for assessment. You can then send it to us to review it and give you recommendations.

If you have any questions or queries relating to APS, please contact our quality standards co-ordinator, Rosy Dick or by phone on 03300 882877.
