Tackling worklessness: evaluation of a multi-intervention worklessness and health programme in Sedgefield, County Durham

Summary: The aim of the study was to examine what were the effects on health, wellbeing and employability of the multi-intervention worklessness programme funded through theNeighbourhood Renewal Fund in Sedgefield Borough, County Durham. Findings revealed that of the interventions evaluated were perceived by, at least some of the participants, to have delivered benefits in terms of wellbeing, such as increasing confidence, self esteem and opportunities for social interaction.
