Tackling homophobia and transphobia in settings supporting young people

Summary: This South Yorkshire study gathered data about views and experiences of the inclusion of LGBT issues within schools and youth work with a focus on barriers and facilitators. It found that in both schools and youth work settings LGBT young people still face prejudice, misunderstanding and on occasions the threat of physical violence. The report mentions how some schools had systems in place to support pupils through named LGBT mentors.
