Summary of the Institute of Psychiatry’s fourth interim report on the evaluation of Capital Volunteering. It describes the characteristics, circumstances and health status of 150 people who joined Capital Volunteering Projects between July 2005 and Jan 2007 and their experiences six months later.
Capital Volunteering aims to tackle issues of mental health and social inclusion through volunteering. Befriending and mentoring volunteering opportunities are some of those available to people recovering from mental ill-health.
