Summary: An analysis of the experiences of 15-18 year olds in prison shows an increase in access to a peer mentor with 23% of young men (compared with 13%) and 33% of young women (compared with 12%) saying they have access to a peer mentor, Listener or the Samaritans. 15% stated that having a mentor would be the thing most likely to stop them offending in the future (this compares to 10% in last year’s survey). The most popular answer was getting a job at 61%.
