Big Lottery releases its new priorities for 2012-2015

16 April 2012

The new BIG strategy Fresh Thinking for 2012-2015 embraces new areas to make even more difference for communities and the lives of people most in need. The strategy outlines the principles and vision where the Big Lottery funding focus will lie in the future:

  • Focusing on those most in need and to support those who work with the most vulnerable people in society
  • Encouraging partnerships and facilitating collaboration across the VCS, public sector and private sector
  • Involving people and communities – through providing community funding
  • Building stronger organisations through continuing to develop effective ways of measuring impact

New areas they are looking to develop are:

  • Supporting the development of social investment
  • Delivering outcomes with others (delivering funding programmes for other organisations)
  • Increasing engagement with the private sector supporting VCS bodies to build stronger relationships
