BBC Children in Need grants for children and young people

20 February 2012

BBC Children in Need grants are open to UK charities and not-for-profit organisations working with disadvantaged and young people who are 18 years old and under.  This includes experiences such as:

  • illness, distress, abuse or neglect,
  • any kind of disability,
  • behavioural or psychological difficulties,
  • living in poverty or situations of deprivation.

There are four general grant deadlines each year – the next ones for 2012 are 15 April, 15 July and 15 October. All applications must be made online.

There are two categories of grants – small grants of £10,000 or less per year for up to three years and main grants for amounts over £10,000 per year for up to three years.

Full guidance and application forms are available on the BBC Children in Need website
