Instructions on using the forum
Looking on the main forum page, you’ll see the different threads, e.g. Give us your feedback on our new website, Issues affecting the mentoring and befriending sector, etc.
Click on the specific thread you wish to read and you’ll see the different topics within it, e.g. the topics within the ‘Give us your feedback on our new website’ thread, include: What do you not like or think we could improve? What do you like about our new website?
Click on the topic title if you wish to read further. Below the last comment you’ll find a link called ‘Reply to Post’. Click on this to add your comment to this topic. When you have typed your comment click on the ‘Post New Reply’ button in order to post it, or click the ‘Cancel’ button if you don’t want to.
When you create a new post, the following functionality is available to you in the options box:
- Subscribe to this Topic – if you tick this, you’ll get an email every time a new post appears
- Watch this Topic – sends you an alert for the specific topic you’re interested in
If you use RSS feeds, you can set them up for the whole forum, for a particular thread or for a particular topic. The RSS icon for these options is at the bottom of the page.
If you can’t see the above described functionality/buttons it’s because you’re either not logged in, or you’re not an MBF network member. Register here - it’s free, and you need to if you want to post on the forum.
